| By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:

-In this lesson Up Close and Personal: Individual Perpetrators of Hate Crime, explain what will the students accomplish.
-Explain the purpose of the student when conducting a talk show in a panel format on popular music.
-Explain what will the students learn in initiating community service projects.
- Conflict is a normal part of life, and people aren’t good or bad because they experience conflict. Name the three forms of Conflict.
-Explain why stereotypes are often difficult to recognize.
-Explain how do students gain a deep understanding of (1) how conflicts based on prejudices occur and are developed and maintained; (2) how, as in individual conflicts, the roles of aggressors, victims, and bystanders play a part in either maintaining, preventing, or reducing intergroup conflict; and (3) how the various individuals and groups involved are affected physically, mentally, and emotionally in cases of institutionalized prejudice.
-Explain how do students gain a more direct understanding of the feelings, words, and behaviors involved in such crime and incidents.
-Name the other criminal statutes that address hate crimes.
-A supervisor involved in the on-scene investigation and/or reviewing the incident report will verify the crime is properly classified as a Hate Crime. Explain the Supervisor responsibilities.
-Explain the reason these hate crimes targeting individuals, groups of individuals or property.
-Explain how to improve hate crime reporting.
